Voici un échantillon des musiques que nous entendions alors que nous étions à Cluses. Si vous avez des suggestions supplémentaires, soumettez-les , et si la date de sortie officielle de celles-ci tombe entre 1961 et 1966, nous les ajouterons quelque soit le genre (rock, classique, jazz...) ou le type de musique (instrumental, folklorique, musette...)

Nice compilation, I had forgotten a lot of them. It is nice to be reminded of Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs! I like the selection, but I would have personally gone lighter on the Beatles and heavier on the "King" - but it is a matter of taste. Don't they say there are two kinds of people? Those who like more the Beatles and those who like more Elvis (none of them being totally mutually exclusive).

In the interest of balance, I would have put one by les Chats Sauvages to the Chaussettes Noires, and a Johnny to Sylvie (no Johnny in the final selection! I could cry! ... a man that is still there, like us).

For Take Five, I prefer the instrumental and original of Dave Brubeck, the one that influenced the N'H Quartet (any surviving copy of that 45 rpm one? I lost mine to flood or other calamity years ago).

I would also have included Leo Fere's Jolie Mome, and a Piaf of the time, and even a Brassens, but if I let myself go, you will need a couple of HD CDs to fit it all.

To be perfectly unbiased, we should also add a Verchuren or Horner, in memory of the "bals" of Scionzier, but I still cannot stand "les flonflons de l'accordeon," except briefly for the fourteenth of July - et encore.

I think it is a great idea, and quite a heavy responsibility you are assuming, but to the producer goes the choices, and whomever does not like it, let him listen to Charles Trenet or Maurice.
